| Systems of suppression and control of explosions |
|
GGE can offer a system to isolate filters or other parts of the plant connected among them. The system can be of mechanical (valve) or chemical type (dust suppressor). The volume to be checked is constantly monitored by a sensor which continuously detects the pressure values. When a preset increase in pressure is reached, the sensor supplies an alarm signal to the control power unit. The sensor is equipped with an internal storage, where the threshold values are programmed; the setting of these values depends on factors such as the volume to be protected, the features of the dust to be processed, the temperature, etc.
Then the control power unit, based on the signals coming from the pressure sensors, sends the signal, the valve is actuated (mechanical compartmentation) or the electro-valve on the container for the extinguishing powder is opened. This operation happens in a very short time. |
| FINPOL/DEC Decantation chambers against sparks |
|
FINPOL/DEC is used as preliminary stage in filtering plants where the features of the dust to be processed require a treatment before reaching the final filter.
In particular, it is often used as non-sparking element combined with cartridge filters.
During metal cutting processes (laser, plasma) or operations of metal de-burring, you often produce sparks and burning “pieces” which risk causing a fire or an explosion when they reach the filter. |
| Noise and soundproofing |
|
Noise control in working environments is now a fundamental requirement to enable the carrying out of the normal activities in a comfortable way.
Suction plants include different sound sources which can generate noise at sometimes unacceptable levels.
GGE has matured more than twenty years’ experience in the execution of noise reduction systems in aeraulic plants.
In particular GGE can offer:
anti-noise barriers for fans (or other machine types);
silencers for pipes;
design of adequate systems. |

| Noise in aeraulic plants |
In general, in an aeraulic plant the main noise source is the fan, but you mustn’t overlook other elements such as adjustment gates, elbows, branches and all other components of the plant, above all when the air speed is sufficiently high to cause turbulences, breakaways of fluid flows, etc. which generate noise.
In a ventilation plant the sound is propagated through the pipe-work system which reduces its energy mainly due to absorption from the walls and to reflection in correspondence with elbows and branches.
